Katy B’s debut album, ‘On A Mission’ is without doubt one of the best albums to come out of the UK in recent years – yes, even though it does feature a genre of music that is really far from being high upon my list of ❤. ‘Katy On A Mission’, ‘Lights On’, ‘Power On Me’ and ‘Louder’ are some awesome slices of dubstep tinged garage. If you haven’t listened to this album yet, you must do so immediately, if not sooner!
This morning, Katy released the ‘Danger EP’ as a FREE download. The short-player, which features four brand new tracks including the the title track, ‘Light As A Feather’, ‘Aaliyah’ and ‘Got Paid’, is as equally brilliant as it’s predecessor, if not better. Katy’s silky smooth soulful voice moulds perfectly with garage’s dirtier brothers, dubstep’s darkness and the Prodigy-esque 90′s naughtiness that’s back with a vengence at the moment. The EP also features collaborations with Diplo, Wiley (on the amazing ‘Got Paid’) and Jessie Ware.
I’m really impressed. I can’t for the album to drop.
